This Privacy Policy describes how Emopi ("the Application") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you ("the User") use our emotion recognition and analysis services. Emopi is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. By using Emopi, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or user feedback. Any changes will be posted within the Application with a notification, and your continued use of Emopi after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

Emopi collects information to provide and improve its emotion recognition and analysis services. The types of information we collect include:

1.1 User-Provided Content

When you use Emopi's emotion detection feature, you may upload photos from your device's album. These photos are processed by the Application's artificial intelligence and computer vision technology to analyze emotional states. The photos you upload are considered User-provided content and are stored locally on your device unless you choose to back them up through the Application's features. The Application may process facial features within these photos to determine emotional states, but this processing is done entirely on your device without transmitting these images to external servers.

1.2 Emotion Analysis Results

Emopi generates emotion analysis results based on the photos you upload, including sentiment confidence ratings and emotional state classifications (such as happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear, and neutral). These results are stored within the Application to allow you to view historical records and track emotional changes over time (daily, weekly, monthly) as part of the Services. The analysis results may include statistical data such as frequency of emotional states, peak emotional periods, and comparative analysis between different time periods.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect non-personal information about how you use Emopi, such as:

• The features of the Application you use and the frequency of use, including which emotion analysis tools you utilize most often.
• The time and duration of your sessions within Emopi, including peak usage times and average session lengths.
• Technical information about your device, including device model, iOS version, processor specifications, camera capabilities, and unique device identifiers (for the purpose of improving compatibility and performance).

• To store your emotional journey records and historical data, allowing you to view changes in emotions over customizable time ranges and gain insights into your emotional patterns.

• To process in-app purchases and provide access to advanced features, ensuring that paid features are properly unlocked and functional on your device.
• To analyze usage patterns in an anonymized form to enhance the User experience, including optimizing the interface, streamlining workflows, and prioritizing features that users find most valuable.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues, including using crash reports to identify and resolve software bugs and performance problems.
• To personalize your experience within the Application, such as suggesting relevant features based on your usage patterns and displaying your emotional data in formats that are most meaningful to you.

• Implementation of data minimization principles, meaning we only collect and store the information necessary to provide our services.

Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data, and you use Emopi at your own risk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device to prevent unauthorized access to Emopi and your data, including using passcodes, biometric authentication, or other security features provided by your device.

Data retention periods vary based on the type of information: User-provided photos are stored for as long as you choose to keep them in the Application; emotion analysis results are retained until you delete them or uninstall the Application; anonymized usage data is retained for as long as it is useful for improving the Application, typically for a period of 12-24 months.

4. Sharing of Information

Emopi does not share your personal information or User-provided content with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating Emopi, such as processing in-app purchases or improving the Application's technology, and who are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for authorized purposes. These service providers do not have independent rights to use the information we share with them beyond what is necessary to provide their services to us.

• You can delete individual photos, emotional records, or your entire emotional journey history through the Application's settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone unless you have created a backup.
• You can export your emotional journey data in standard formats (such as CSV) through the Application's settings, allowing you to maintain your own records or use the data with other compatible applications.
• You can uninstall Emopi from your device, which will remove locally stored data unless you have backed it up through device-level backup features such as iCloud.
• You can choose not to upload photos or use certain features if you do not wish to provide specific data, although this may limit your ability to use some of the Application's functionality.
• You can opt out of the collection of anonymized usage data through the Application's settings, although this may limit our ability to improve the Application based on user behavior.
